The idea germinated in response to a need shared by women of all ages and sizes: finding clothes that both fit well and flatter our body shapes. The MyShape goal is to answer that need with great clothing in wonderful, exquisite textiles and designs that celebrate all women's body shapes.
After starting around a kitchen table in September 2004, we quickly found ourselves adding more chairs. Now MyShape is approaching 100 employees. The group no longer fits around one table, but we work as a team across functions with the single-minded determination to delight the customer. Web Graphic Designers
MyShape currently has outstanding opportunities for two freelance Web Graphic Designers. Each successful candidate will be an articulate, professional, dependable, detail-oriented, self-motivated problem solver with a solid work ethic who is energized about Internet design and functionality. We anticipate that these positions will be needed for at least 90 days and that one position may become full-time. Both designers will report to the Vice President of E-Commerce. NO AGENCIES PLEASE.
As part of our Creative Team, the Web Graphic Designers will be responsible for developing comprehensive web product packages including landing pages, email campaigns, banner ads and promotional offers. The assignments will be fast-paced, strategic and creative.
To be considered for this role you must have 3+ years of experience and a solid understanding of web standards, cross-browsers, troubleshooting before site launches, information architecture, etc. Professional experience in e-commerce is absolutely required. Experience with or an interest in the fashion/retail industry is a plus.
Skills Required:
- High level of design skill and technical proficiency
- Fluency in HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver
- Strong understanding of information architecture and user-experience issues
- Knowledge of web design conventions, optimization and best practices
- Great typography and layout skills an absolute must
- Familiarity with MySQL a PLUS
Qualifications:
- Take direction well but also know when to make decisions and take initiative
- Ability to work in a start-up team environment, which demands flexibility
- Must be willing to provide creative input and have the dedication to deliver work on time
- Marketing savvy—experience developing pages for marketing conversion goals a plus

Site Coordinator/HTML Programmer
MyShape, the innovative online fashion retailer that is revolutionizing the way women shop, is seeking a talented Site Manager/Senior HTML Programmer to manage the company website. The position will oversee project workflow, plan the updating of content and manage project schedules for a multifaceted website. Candidates should have a minimum of two to four years of experience in HTML programming and an understanding of web technologies and architecture. The position requires fluency in DHTML, CSS and Javascript, as well as the ability to hand code and perform cross-browser and platform testing for web pages. Knowledge of Flash and Ajax is preferred, and background is needed in web design including HTML emails, websites, micro-sites, landing pages as well as Photoshop and the equivalent.
Candidate must be an organized, professional team player with excellent follow-through who is savvy in web development, coding, design and production applications. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, expert editing skills and a working knowledge of current web content development practices.
Senior HTML Designer/Programmer
MyShape, a successful online retailer that is revolutionizing the way women shop for apparel, is seeking a talented Senior HTML Designer and Programmer to manage email blasts and banner campaigns, to perform cross-browser and platform testing for web pages and to assist in updating and maintaining the MyShape website. Candidates should have five to six years of experience in design and HTML programming with the ability to manage multiple projects. Candidates must be fluent in HTML and CSS Javascript and have the ability to hand code. Knowledge of Photoshop and Flash is preferred.
We are seeking an organized, professional team player with excellent follow-through. Candidates must be savvy in web development and coding, covering aspects such as layout and design.

Data Warehouse/Business Insights System Manager
MyShape, an innovative online retailer, is seeking an experienced data warehouse/BI data architecture professional to design and implement our data warehouse structure and streamline the capture and cleansing of all data relevant to our online retail business. Candidates should have background in consumer web analytics, advertising effectiveness data and performing web log processing and business analysis. We are looking for a team player experienced in data profiling, data analysis, business analysis and logical data modeling in a data-warehousing environment.
The Business Insights Manager will work with management and staff at all levels to assist in providing user-accessible business insights and information necessary to grow our business into a world-class web retail merchandising model.
Candidates must have knowledge of database design and infrastructure requirements to quickly deliver scalable reporting solutions, the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel and a strong service/solutions-oriented approach. Expertise in site reporting software is strongly preferred; past experience with business intelligence and analytics software and tools (SAS, Oracle, Informatica, Cognos, DTS, SQL Server, MySQL, SSIS, etc.) is required.
Senior Developer
MyShape, an innovative online retailer with patented breakthrough technology, is seeking team-oriented software developers with experience developing for large-scale web architecture, database design and SQL and algorithmic optimization. Candidates should be internet product veterans able to design and implement defect-free software of product quality that is both innovative and high performance. MyShape developers must have a background in system development using MySQL, PHP, Java or other.
Candidates fluent in internet-based development tools and proficient in modern software engineering concepts and technologies are preferred. In addition, MyShape developers must be comfortable with analysis and design, front-end/UI coding and integration, database scripting and manipulation, backend/server coding and technical issue resolution.
